Since 1973 our company has been researching and providing solutions to numerous manufacturing challenges in areas of electromechanical, magnetic and materials technology. We have an extensive range of equipment used in the problem-solving process and in manufacturing. Examples of the products we have developed include: railroad crossing gate savers, electronic bells and railroad crossing gate lights for the transportation industry, flux-gate compasses for aircraft navigation, AC/DC solenoids and linear motors for the industrial equipment industry and surge suppressing devices for the computer industry.
In 1992 MTR moved it’s facility from Farmington, MN to Brookings, SD. The decision to make the move was based on the community’s strong commitment to business and it’s highly productive work force. With SDSU’s College of Engineering in close proximity, we are able to offer students hands-on work experience and participation in the creation of state-of-the-art products.
